The Hospes Palacio de San Esteban was a spectacular place to stay particularly because of its location in a converted part of a working monastery, the amazing transformation into truly five star accommodation and for me, stunning views towards the ornate skyline with nesting storks clearly flying to and from the roof tops. Breakfast was amazing, with choice from the cold buffet and hot a la carte menu and in a large dining hall which, like the rest of the hotel, retains much of its historical ambience. We didn't try the Hotel evening menu, but ate out in the town. The beautiful University city of Salamanca was easily within walking distance of the hotel with its Cathedral, restaurants and sites of tourist interest.

The check in was fast and professional. The room was on thr first floor and easy to reach. We had a de luxe room and it was fully to the standards of luxury. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. In the beginning there was a little issue about the heating. The weather was chilly and the heating was turned off. We complained and our complaints had effect. From that time on it was nicely warm in the room from late afternoon on when we came back from the sight seeing. The roomservice was very fast. The location of the hotel is great. In less than five minutes you are in the historic center.

Rob

The hotel is perfectly located close to all the bars, restaurants and shops. We were booked in for one night only but wished we had organised to stay longer. The room in the hotel was spacious with a large comfy bed with views to the Cathedral. The outside gardens and pool area were a real bonus. So good to be able to relax after a few hours of meandering through the city. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. This place has been added to our top 5 and totally recommend and hope to visit again.

Hotel is in a superb location, no more than a kilometre from all the major sites in Salamanca. Despite this the hotel provides a tranquil and quiet atmosphere. The reception staff are excellent, especially Paulino, who couldn't have been more helpful. There is an extensive breakfast menu available in addition to the buffet. All excellent quality. Parking is an optional extra but super convenient. We had a cloister view room which was extremely quiet and the bed very comfortable.

Richard

We enjoyed the historical building theme and we found the room quite comfortable. Breakfast was also quite good, though we did find that waiters were overwhelmed during peak times, making it harder to order food. Hotel was located close to the centre of the city and very close to the main attractions, making it accessible for tourists like us.
